We are seeking a DORA Consultant with experience in the Financial Services and IT industry. The consultant must have worked on DORA applications to the Dutch Authority Financial Markets (AFM). The role focuses on helping a crypto organization to become DORA compliant so they can obtain their MiCAR license from the AFM. The application for the MiCAR license has been done, however the AFM has many questions about their DORA compliancy. In this role you will be in direct contact with the AFM and help the organization make the necessary internal changes to become DORA compliant.
Key Responsibilities:
DORA Compliance: Advise the client on aligning their operational, IT, and security frameworks with DORA requirements to ensure robust operational resilience and cybersecurity.
AMF Authorisation: Assist the client through the AFM’s process to become an authorized crypto-asset service provider.
Risk Management: Develop strategies to manage operational risks and ensure resilience against cyber threats and digital disruptions, in line with both DORA and MiCAR regulations.
Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary liaison between cliens, AFM, and internal teams, ensuring smooth compliance and regulatory reporting.
Key Qualifications:
DORA Experience: Extensive experience in DORA compliance, focusing on operational resilience and cybersecurity in financial services.
AFM Experience: In previous roles you have dealt with AFM application processes or acted as a primary point of contact for the AFM.
Risk Management Skills: Proficient in developing risk management and digital resilience frameworks aligned with EU regulatory standards.
Desired Experience:
5+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, financial services, or consulting, focusing on AFM communication and DORA application procedures.
Knowledge of crypto-asset services and EU financial regulatory environments is a plus
